I cannot wait to watch this movie who knew that black woman were behind Nasa all this time. I certainly will be purchasing the DVD and the book, to have in my what I call ‘Black Archives’ for all the black things I will show my son when he’s a little older to help him to learn about his history and what he can teach others about his history too, especially when it’s Black History month at school he won’t just be telling them about Martin Luther King, Malcolm X and Rosa Parks, he will be able to enhance peoples minds further.
I have been reading about this ever since it came out and boy am I so proud (as usual) to be a black woman and say look, us black people were doing great things since (as my mum would say) Adam was a Lamb LOL. There is more to us then just hair and food, and the list just keeps getting bigger.
It’s exciting for us to know that black people have always done great things, it’s just disappointing that it took this film to be made, to make everyone of all colours see that Black People have always been influential, powerful, well educated and successful.
I found a video (above), which tells you about so many black women (as it’s not just black men either doing great things) that have done successful things for the good of this world and yet we only hearing about it now. I have to admit though I wasn’t happy that I have to find these things out by a woman of a different colour from me presenting this video, that’s just our own personal feel on it and as it’s ‘Real Talk’ we’re not going to hold back. But hey, at least the information is out there. I’ve realised that if you want something, you’ll have to go dig and find it yourself. Our history is so deep and rich, I’m pretty sure a lot of it has been covered up due to segregation, just like these amazing women. I’m happy all the same to be watching this video, so we’ll share it with you and by all means tell us what you think in the comments below.
I will be letting you know how the movie goes and what I think, or in fact let’s all get talking about it when you go and see it holla at us and tell us your thoughts, we would love to hear your ‘Real Talk’.
